Paris Fashion Week

For the past 9 days the mother of all fashion capitals - Paris, hosted THE most epic event in fashion! The event kicked off with Anthony Vaccarello,who's designs have been spotted on Olivia Palmero and Jennifer Lopez amongst many other celebrities. 

We were also so excited to see Alexander Wangs collection gracing the catwalk on Thursday with his second womenswear collection for Balenciaga! The line is full of the top dogs, with the likes of  Chloe, Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier and Celine. 

We can't wait to see what treats Chanel will bring to the table on Tuesday, after their show spectacular at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week! We are preparing to be amazed! With the final shows taking place on Wednesday, we are excited to see Louis Vuitton too! We have a full weekend of enjoying the shows, hope you do too! x 

London Fashion Week - Colour Trend Alert.

An exciting London Fashion Week is well under way, with trends and colours emerging for the SS14 collections ahead. A prominent colour theme we noticed, was that of black, white and blue. Dominating the catwalks this combination has proved popular and effective. 

We adored the structural shapes and block colours at David Koma, with leather trims and waist cinching silhouettes. Proportions played with the figure whilst also including feminine shapes to soften the styles. 

Sheer panels also gave a pretty illusion and sat beautifully within the designs, integrated with soft pleated skirts for a womanly feel. A favourite designer of Cheryl Cole...it's easy to see why. 

Another striking collection in this colour selection was L'Wren Scott.  Whilst some of her collection supported a white base highlighted with oriental prints, blue was emphasised in leather with regal gold embroidery. Florals and obi belts softened the collection as a whole, with flashes of red throughout.

Havetolove Short Listed In the Drapers Womenswear Independent Awards 2013

We have just found out that Havetolove have been short listed for the Drapers Womenswear Independents Awards 2013!  How excited are we!  Seven years since the start of Havetolove and we won Drapers Best New Business so please support us as we think this year is the year for us to win Drapers Womenswear Independents Award 2013. 

Drapers are highly respected in the fashion industry and what an honour it is for us to be shortlisted.  Havetolove have also been recognised by Vogue, Grazia, The Sunday Times Style magazine to name just a few.

New York Fashion Week 2013 - Round Up

With the last day of New York Fashion Week looming tomorrow, we thought we would give you a round up of the event so far. 

Stand out favourites for us, were of course the Victoria Beckham Collections, showing both her mainline and Victoria, Victoria Beckham diffusion line. Full of elegant silhouettes, bright colour popping shades and 60's inspired prints - contrasted with a dominant monochrome colour palette with flashes of hot pink. 

Another collection that caught our eye, was Sass & Bide, a clash of houndstooth mixed with leather and gold embellishment, this collection has a strong but feminine appeal. A tonal colour mix of black, white, grey and red give designs a minimalistic feel, but adorments and embroidered bring the creations to life. 

Bringing us to a more classically American collection, with an ever present girly feel, Oscar De La Renta was full of florals, lace and pleats. This darling collection has swing skirts and shift dresses in a host of colours and prints. Most noticeable of all were the evening gowns...true statement pieces. 

An emerging collection which struck the havetolove girls, was that from ADEAM, a pretty pastel selection in silks, organza and lace. Tie dye dress and blouse/short sets create a utterly wearable collection. 

We have truly enjoyed this New York 2013 Fashion Week, an eclectic mix as ever!
