Tim Walker - Lead Vogue Photographer Comes to the North East

'Pictures from Wonderland' -Tim Walker's Picturebook 'I Love Pictures', 2007

Leading fashion photographer, Tim Walker, whose photographs have entranced the readers of Vogue Magazine for over a decade is world renowned for his romantic motifs, and widley acclaimed for his extravagant and surreal settings. Tim Walker has unmistakable style and at the age of 25 shot his first fashion story for Vogue, and has continued to work to much acclaim ever since.

 The Photographers most recent exhibition- 'Dreamscapes' is to be displayed in The Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle, County Durham Until 1st September, 2013.  Images for this show are set in the grounds of Eglingham Hall, Northumberland, a historic mansion house whose faded grandeur appeals to Walker. The photographs are to be displayed in light boxes which marks a new departure for this photographer.

Tim Walker's 'Pastel Cats' -1998

"A lot of people get confused when they see this image.  They think it was done by computer, but we actually took pigment powder, mixed it with talc to get the right ice-cream pastel colours, and brushed it into the cats...."  The cats were such vain creatures - they adored being touched and pampered."
