The Golden Globe Awards 2013

The 2013 Golden Globes wasn't just one that celebrated our most favoured celebrities but it also showcased the most glamorous gowns seen on the red carpet. We were dazzled with the array of garments modelled stunningly on our celebs, with some opting for striking deep reds and black tones and others going for a pastel based palette. 

Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfried, and Isla Fisher glowed in pale tones. Megan Fox wore a piece by Dolce & Gabbana and looked stunning as she strolled down the red carpet. Amanda opted for Givency Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci, appearing feminine and sweet with pale pinks and lace combined. Isla shone in a heavily embellished gown by Reem Acra. 

Anne Hathaway fashioned a strapless peplum corset & embellished column skirt by Chanel which looked flawless, being ever so elegant and sophisticated on the red carpet. 

Plenty of pastels were shown on the red carpet but it was excitingly broken up by bright blasts of rich summer colour. Marion Cottilard chose a striking orange strapless dress with an asymmetric hem from the Dior couture collection while Alyssa Milano went for a glowing yellow. Then there were celebs that looked feirce and classical by choosing jet blacks and deep reds. Nicole Richie and Kate Hudson both went for designs by Alexander Mqueen, whilst Dame Helen Mirren fashioned a Badgley Mischka designs. Eva Longoria in Emillo Pucci and Naomi Watts in Zac Posen both looked stunning with long flowing maxi dresses that trailed along the red carpet. 

Minimalist makeup and hair were shown by Lucy Lui, Jessica Alba, Emily Blunt and Jennifer Lawrence, with slick back buns and side simple fish tail plaits and Hollywood curls the celebrities looked glamorous but with minimum effort. 

Some of our stars chose to shine in gold! Michelle Dockery wore a stunning gold lace detail and draping white gown by Alexandre Vauthier and Emily Blunt wore a cut out wait flowing dress by Michael Kors. 

The Golden Globe awards presented some of the most stunning gowns that has ever graced the red carpet, we certainly were not let down as the celebrities gave us an insight into the colour and styles we will soon be seeing as SS13 creeps upon us.
